Cars in German Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Authorities reported they were contacted by a resident who found a vehicle in Hanau smeared with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were marked, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Officers state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then discovered numerous other vandalized cars and house walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement say early analysis indicate the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no clue as to its origin; investigators are presently not aware of any injuries in relation with the incident," they commented.

Local authorities announced they were working "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the residents for tips.

An important representative stated the vandalism made him stunned and had to be addressed promptly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on a platform, recalling the killing of nine victims by a shooter focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in February 2020.
